Silent
Guardian
Change is a never-ending constant,
Winds cradling my voice as I justify my
concepts.
The pendulum swinging, the sands of time
ringing,
As I construct this rhyme,
To explain my contemplative thinking.
Your testing me pushes me away,
Oh please remember me as a time of the
day.
But if you don’t even have the decency
To encode the truth of my courtesy,
The choice is always yours,
Just don’t leave me hanging for more.
Your memories is what fuels my rising
power
As I try to break out of my self-imposed
darkest hour.
Self-realization is the key to
revelation,
As I escape the confines of my own
desperation.
Asphyxiation, eyes bulging,
Now I pierce the heavens, no more
indulging.
Imposing,
The word that describes your dream,
Supporting,
Something I can never do as long as you
oppose me.
Composing,
My own path as
you unintentionally dispose me.
Time and again,
I tried placing my trust.
Only,
For it to be
thrown away in utter disgust.
Now,
Trudging this
road again, walking alone,
Making,
Up for lost time
as I try to atone.
I will always
respect the shadow that was left behind.
Remembering all
the times I went with an open mind.
Realizing indifference
is the opposite of love,
I open my hands
to release my little dove.
Beautifully done, Jan Patrick! I like your use of light and still life in this. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteI like how in your picture it has depth to it in a way that the rose in front of the globe thing. Represents that guardian type of thing. I wonder what you thought those items symbolizes. Great photo!
ReplyDeleteWell done. I like how you have imagined that the objects would symbolize your thoughts of the poems. As I have said before well done.
ReplyDeleteLike the lighting on the photo and it relating to the poem well done
ReplyDeleteAmazing Poem, Great Job!
ReplyDeleteI really like your use of lighting technique...the heart in the background really stands out and enhances your photo. Your poem contains a powerful message that only your photo can illustrate. This shows that you really understand the concept of figurative imagery :)
